Anxiety Disorders: How to Recognize and Manage Them

Anxiety disorders are numerous and quite diverse. Some of the more commonly known disorders are Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Anxiety can be a major problem, even for relatively healthy people who do not meet the basic criteria for any particular condition.

In order to maintain good mental health, we need to be aware of our internal and external state. If you’ve been struggling with an unpleasant situation for a long time and you notice your physical health is suffering, you may be dealing with something more serious than regular anxiety.

Physical symptoms of an anxiety disorder include shaking, sweating, nausea, and a feeling of dissociation with your body. These manifestations usually appear in situations of high stress.
