Psychologists are starting to wonder whether current anxiety treatments need to be re-evaluated when it comes to treating those over 55 years old. Members of older age groups have just as much anxiety (if not more) than the younger generations, yet many of the prescription anxiety medications on the market today are not a great choice for older adults because their side effects include memory loss and a slower reaction time.
