Expert Discusses the Effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can cause just as much grief and stress as the horrifying event that originated it. It attacks the mind and changes you into a shell of your former self. It can even affect your body; PTSD puts you into a state of high alert and panic. Sometimes it can have the opposite effect by making you shut off your emotions and reactions.
