Army Resiliency Program Questioned by Psychologists

Due to the high rate of anxiety and depression among soldiers, a program referred to as resiliency training was put into place in 2008 to improve soldiers’ psychological fitness. However, psychologists are starting to question the program and wonder if it may actually decrease resilience in those that already had effective coping and stress management skills before the training. Proponents of the program state that they are seeing an improvement due to the training.
